Looking back afterward, I could see when it all started.    We go through many phases of life, all starting when we are born as women.    Most major symptoms began for me at age fifty. I sat in my doctor’s office, telling him all my symptoms. I had “Googled” them. Well, he sat, listened, and smiled.    I thought, “Why are you smiling, this is serious.”    Then he said, “And, Kathy, you are fifty.”    So he did the blood work and said it will be okay. “We will call you to let you know, it is normal.”   (This book is also translated in Spanish on the flip side.)

My name is Katherine or Kathy. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and grandma

I am a registered nurse and very proud of my profession. I am now following my dream as my husband saw it, to be an author, an advocate, a helper to others.

My goal is to volunteer my time in our new home in the Riviera Maya, the TAO Community, with children, helping them to learn English as they teach me Spanish, also to be involved in humanitarian nursing as it is my true passion in life.

I recently have written a children's story and dedicated it to my grandson who is such an inspiration to me . Not yet published

I also recently lost the most important person in my life , my mom . She was , as I wrote in my book , the strongest person I know . She is also wearing a Golden Halo for living a life filled with kindness and dedication
